More Ways to be Green with Syfo
April 20, 2021

Earth Day 2021 is Thursday, April 22, giving everyone all over the world a chance to focus on what they can do to foster a healthy planet and environment. At Syfo, we try to do our part, taking steps to ensure that Syfo products are as GREEN as possible in every way. Our PET and glass bottles and our packaging materials are fully recyclable. We use a multi-step purification process, including reverse osmosis, to purify the water in our products. This process returns the discharge water from the bottling process back to the municipal wastewater treatment system in a more purified state than the incoming raw water since our filters and purifiers collect and/or neutralize any toxins, chemicals, minerals, pesticides, etc. Also, since the water we use to produce Syfo comes from a centrally located aquifer, it doesn’t require a heavy carbon footprint to make it to the production facility and the consumer.

But why stop there? In Earth Day’s spirit of reducing waste and optimizing resources, we’ve compiled some of our favorite ideas from around the Web (courtesy of Mashable) for some creative uses for that bottle of Syfo after it has quenched your thirst with refreshing Naturally Flavored Sparkling Water:

1) Paint dabbers

Here’s an easy craft for kids — you can use the bottom of a Syfo (or any other) bottle to make a cherry blossom painting or anything your imagination inspires!

2) Sprinkler

Since there’s certainly no age limit on summer fun, this is for kids and adults alike. It may seem a bit old school, so if you’re too ashamed to go to a toy store and buy one for yourself, this is an easy craft that anyone can enjoy to cool off!

3) No-sew zipper bottle containers

A simple way to organize your art supplies, travel makeup brushes, snacks or whatever you can think of. No-sew means easy. We can relate to that.

4) Planter

The planter in this example is self-watering, meaning the holes in the cap absorb the water at the bottom half of the bottle. It works really well for grasses and other fairly leafy plants.

5) Dog toy

Our website editor has personally tried this one. Dogs should be supervised when using this just in case they break through the sock to the plastic; ingesting plastic is not good for a pooch. However, for the curious pups that like to go hunting for their fun or treats, they’ll love burrowing into this DIY toy.

6) DIY spray paint container

If you have the perfect color in a regular can but need to convert it to a spray, this is much simpler (and cheaper!) than bringing it to a hardware store to be put into a spray can.

7)  Clean your drain

Okay, not as enjoyable perhaps as the above ideas but life is not always fun and games. With just a few simple incisions, with this idea you can avoid the dreaded smell and toxic fumes of drain cleaner and make your own de-clogger.
