New Study Cites Global Toll of Sugary Beverages
April 2, 2013

A new study presented by the AHA indicates that 180,000 deaths worldwide can be linked to sugary beverages, according to a report in Time Magazine. Research scientists  analyzed data from the 2010 Global Burden of Diseases Study to correlate the linkage between sugary beverages and mortality rates and the results underscore the need for healthy beverages.   Syfo Original Seltzer and Naturally-Flavored Sparkling Waters have always been free of sugars, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, preservatives or other additives, making them a smart choice for consumers.

Research has long connected sugared drinks like sodas to higher risks of heart diseases, diabetes and obesity, but this study presented at the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology and Prevention/Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolism 2013 Scientific Sessions is the first to try to quantify the worldwide health toll of sugary beverages.

Syfo Original Seltzer and Naturally-Flavored Sparkling Waters are made with water purified through reverse osmosis and are PG (propylene glycol) and BVO (brominated vegetable oil) free as well. Syfo Beverages will always be a healthy way to stay hydrated, cut back on sugar and enjoy delicious refreshment.
