Cola Coloring Linked to Cancer in Study

Underscoring the need for healthy beverages and healthy beverage alternatives, the Center for Science in the Public Interest filed a petition that the “caramel coloring” used in cola soft drinks and other foods is contaminated with two cancer-causing chemicals and should be banned.

Government Issues New Guidelines for Healthy Diet

The US government recently released its most comprehensive guidelines to help Americans build a more healthy diet. Part of the recommendation concerns healthy beverages, trying to get people to move away from sugary drinks like soda toward more healthy alternatives.
