ORANGE GINGER MINT SODA
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Oranges
- 1 1/2 Cups of Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups of Water
- 8 1-inch Pieces of Ginger
- 1 Bunch of Fresh Mint
- 1 Bottle of Syfo Original Seltzer
- Ice
PREPARATION:
Using a vegetable peeler, peel the rind from the oranges in to thin pieces, making sure not to get the white pith on the rind. Cut the oranges and squeeze the orange juice in to a medium saucepan. Add sugar and water to the pan and bring to boil. Stir frequently to ensure the sugar dissolves. Once boiling, reduce heat and add orange rind, ginger and mint. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool completely (about 1 hour). Strain mixture to remove solids and store in refrigerator until read to use. Add ¼ of a cup of the orange syrup to a tall glass with ice and top off with Syfo Original Seltzer. Garnish with an orange slice and mint leaves if desired.

These drink recipes either avoid using spirits derived from one of the five grains—barley, oats, rye, spelt, or wheat — or use ingredients that have been designated as Kosher for Passover. We’ve included links to the original recipes so you can investigate the ingredients in more detail. As always, Syfo Original Seltzer and our Lemon-Lime Naturally Flavored Sparkling Water are certified Kosher for Passover 2016 by the Orthodox Union.

Minty Lemon Soda |
From The Washington Post: Natural juice-based drinks help maintain hydration in summer’s heat. This one is gently sweetened with honey, flavored with lemon and spiked with a hint of mint.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cups honey
- 1/2 cup water
- Juice from 2 to 5 lemons (1/2 to 3/4 cup)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 cup packed mint leaves, plus mint sprigs for garnish
- Syfo Lemon-Lime Naturally Flavored Sparkling Water, chilled
- Ice
PREPARATION:
Heat the honey, water, and lemon juice and zest in a small nonreactive saucepan over medium-high heat until the mixture reaches a low boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
Stir in the mint leaves, then cover the saucepan and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer and into a Mason jar or other lidded storage container, discarding the solids left in the strainer. Cover and refrigerate.
To serve, measure 1 tablespoon of syrup into a drinking glass and add 1 cup of sparkling water. Stir to combine. Add ice if desired. Taste, and add syrup or sparkling water as needed. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
